Using live voice rooms
Last updated
Every group has a live voice room members can drop into at any time.
Seeing who is in before you join
The voice bar shows the avatars and count of members currently in the room, so you can see whether it is worth joining before you commit. This removes the awkwardness of being the first person in an empty room.
Joining and leaving
Tap Join voice to enter. You can mute yourself at any time and leave with one tap. Text chat continues normally while voice is running.
Permissions
Your browser will ask for microphone access the first time. If you accidentally deny it, you will need to re-enable microphone permission for Orbit in your browser's site settings.
Etiquette
Mute when you are not speaking, avoid talking over people, and remember that voice rooms are open — anyone in the group can walk in mid-sentence.
