Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This page is maintained by the Orbit team to explain what data Orbit collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It describes our current practices and is not an independent audit or certification.
What we collect
- Account data — email address, username, display name, bio and profile photo you provide.
- Content — messages, media, voice notes and reactions you send in groups and DMs, plus read receipts for those conversations.
- Wallet activity — coin purchases, transfers, group joins, earnings and withdrawal requests.
- Device data — push notification tokens, and basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To operate accounts, group chats, DMs and the coin economy.
- To deliver push notifications you have opted into.
- To process payments and withdrawals.
- To detect abuse, fraud and spam, and to enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal data.
AI companions
When you interact with an AI companion, the relevant messages are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply, and short memory notes may be stored to keep conversations coherent. You can delete a companion conversation to remove that context.
Service providers
We share data only with providers needed to run Orbit:
- Our cloud backend provider — database, authentication, file storage.
- Razorpay — payment processing for coin purchases (they handle card details, not us).
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications.
- Google AdSense — advertising on a limited number of pages.
Cookies and advertising
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. Ads on the dashboard and premium pages are served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies to personalise ads. You can manage this at Google's Ads Settings.
Security
Access to your data is protected by authentication and row-level database rules, media links are short-lived signed URLs, and payment credentials are handled by our payment provider. No system is perfectly secure; we do not claim end-to-end encryption of messages.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. Deleting your account from Settings removes your profile and personal data; transaction records may be retained where required by law. Messages you sent may remain visible to other participants in a conversation.
Your rights
You can access and correct your data in the app, and request export or deletion by emailing support@orbitgroups.online. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
Children
Orbit is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
