The blue verified tick: how to get it
Last updated
You'll notice some Orbit members display a small blue tick next to their name. It's a Premium membership perk, and this article covers what it means and where it shows up.
How to get it
The verified tick is included with an active Orbit Premium subscription. There's no separate application or approval process — subscribing to Premium is what activates it on your profile.
Where it appears
The tick shows next to your display name wherever it's visible to others: your profile, messages you send in groups, and member lists.
What it does and doesn't mean
It signals an active Premium membership, not a formal identity check or an endorsement of the account holder. Treat it as a membership marker, similar to badges seen on other platforms, rather than proof of who someone claims to be.
If your tick disappears
The tick is tied to Premium being active. If your Premium subscription lapses, the tick is removed from your profile until you renew.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I keep the tick without an active subscription?
- No, it only displays while your Orbit Premium membership is active.
- Does the tick affect how my messages are treated?
- No, it's purely a visual marker and doesn't change moderation, ranking or delivery of your messages.
- Is the verified tick the same across every group I'm in?
- Yes, it's tied to your account, so it appears consistently wherever your name is shown across Orbit.
