Resetting a forgotten password
Last updated
If you can't remember your password, Orbit resets it through a link sent to your registered email — there's no security question or support workaround needed for the common case.
Requesting the reset
On the sign-in page, choose 'Forgot password?' and enter the email address your account uses. Orbit sends a reset link to that address if an account exists for it.
Using the link
Open the email and follow the link, which takes you to a page to set a new password of at least six characters. Once set, sign in with the new password immediately.
If the email doesn't arrive
Check your spam or promotions folder first — reset emails are sometimes filtered automatically. Confirm you entered the exact email your account was created with; a typo means the email goes nowhere silently.
If you signed up with Google originally, there's no Orbit password to reset — sign in with the Continue with Google button instead.
If none of that works
Wait a few minutes in case of delivery delay, then request the reset again. If it still doesn't arrive after that, contact support@orbitgroups.online from the email address in question.
Frequently asked questions
- How long is the reset link valid for?
- Reset links expire after a limited time for security; if yours has expired, simply request a new one.
- Can I reset my password without access to my email?
- No, email access is required since that's how Orbit verifies it's really you.
- Does resetting my password log out my other devices?
- It's good practice to sign out and back in elsewhere after a reset to make sure the new password takes effect everywhere.
