How and when to regenerate your group's invite link

If your group's current invite link has been shared too widely or ended up somewhere you didn't intend, regenerating it gives you a fresh, private link.
Where to find the option
Open your group's settings and look for the invite link section, which shows your current link in the format /j/{token}. From there you can generate a new token.
What happens when you regenerate
The old link stops working immediately, so anyone who still has it can no longer use it to join. Only the new link, which you'll need to reshare, grants access going forward.

When to regenerate
Common reasons include the link leaking into a public space you didn't intend, wanting tighter control over who's currently invited, or simply refreshing access periodically for a sensitive group.

- No. Regenerating replaces the link with a new working one, while disabling turns off joining via link entirely until re-enabled.
