Payment methods for buying coins in India
Last updated
All coin purchases on Orbit are processed by Razorpay in Indian rupees. Razorpay supports a wide range of Indian payment methods, so you can usually pay however you'd naturally pay for anything else online.
Supported methods
Razorpay's checkout typically supports UPI apps, debit and credit cards, net banking and wallets. Exactly which options appear can vary slightly depending on your bank and device, since Razorpay determines availability at checkout time.
- UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and similar apps)
- Debit and credit cards
- Net banking
- Supported wallets, where available
Why Razorpay
Orbit doesn't handle or store your card or bank details at any point — Razorpay processes the transaction directly and only tells Orbit whether it succeeded. This keeps your payment information off Orbit's servers entirely.
Currency
All coin purchases are billed in Indian rupees. If your card is issued outside India, your bank may apply its own conversion and charges on top of the amount shown at checkout.
Checkout tips
UPI is usually the fastest method and rarely triggers additional bank verification steps. If a card payment stalls at a bank verification screen, don't refresh the page — wait for it to complete or time out naturally.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I save a card for future purchases?
- Card saving is handled by Razorpay's checkout, not by Orbit. Any saved card option you see comes from Razorpay's own secure storage.
- Does Orbit ever see my card number?
- No. Razorpay processes payments directly, and Orbit only receives confirmation of success or failure, never the underlying card or bank details.
- Why did checkout show a different payment method than I expected?
- Available methods depend on your bank, device and Razorpay's own detection at checkout time, so the list can vary slightly between purchases.
