Notifications tell you about new messages, mentions and group events.
Turning notifications on
Orbit asks for notification permission the first time it is relevant. If you declined, re-enable notifications for Orbit in your browser or device site settings, then reload.
@everyone mentions
Group owners can notify an entire group with @everyone. Good owners use it rarely; if a group overuses it, that is a reason to leave rather than a reason to disable notifications everywhere.
The Notification Center
Every alert also appears in the in-app notification list, so nothing is lost if a push notification does not arrive.
If notifications are not arriving
Check that permission is granted, that Orbit is not battery-restricted on Android, and that you are signed in on the device. Installing Orbit to your home screen makes background delivery considerably more reliable.
