Finding an active voice room

If a group has a voice room running, you'll see an indicator near the top of the chat inviting you to join. Tap it to enter the room from within the group you're already a member of.

Microphone permissions

The first time you join a voice room, your browser or device will ask permission to use your microphone. You need to allow this to speak, though you can still listen without granting it in most cases.

Inside the room

Once in, you'll see who's currently speaking and who's just listening. Depending on the room's setup, you may need to request to speak rather than being unmuted automatically.

Leaving the room

Leaving a voice room is separate from leaving the group — you can drop out of the audio at any point while remaining a full member of the group's text chat.
