Understanding group plans and durations

Last updated

Paid groups aren't limited to a single price — owners can offer multiple plans that differ by duration and cost.

Common plan types

Owners typically choose from weekly, monthly and lifetime plans, though the exact options available depend on what the owner sets up. A weekly plan renews access every week; a lifetime plan is a one-time payment for permanent membership.

  • Weekly — short commitment, lower price
  • Monthly — a middle ground for ongoing communities
  • Lifetime — one payment, no renewal needed

How members choose

When joining a paid group, members see all available plans with their coin cost and duration side by side, and pick the one that fits their budget and interest level.

What happens at the end of a plan

Time-limited plans like weekly or monthly need renewal to keep access; see our article on renewals and expiry for exactly how that works. Lifetime plans never expire.

Frequently asked questions

Can an owner offer only one plan?
Yes. Offering multiple plans is optional — a group can be set up with just a single price and duration.
Does a longer plan always cost more?
Owners set prices manually, so it's up to them, but pricing plans sensibly relative to duration keeps members from feeling shortchanged.
Can I switch plans after joining?
You can join under a different plan the next time you pay, but an active plan doesn't automatically convert to another one mid-term.
