How group owners earn coins

Last updated

Running a paid group is one of the main ways to earn coins on Orbit, alongside buying them directly or receiving giveaways and referral rewards.

How earnings are credited

When someone joins your paid group, the coins they pay go to your balance, matching the coin type they spent — if they paid with paid coins, you receive paid coins; if with free coins, you receive free coins.

The same logic applies to coins retained after the 7-day window when you remove a member from a paid group; those also credit as the matching type.

Free coins vs paid coins in your earnings

This split matters because only paid coins can be withdrawn as money. Free coins you earn from members who joined using their own free coins remain spendable inside Orbit but not withdrawable.

  • Paid coins earned: withdrawable, subject to Orbit Prime
  • Free coins earned: usable in-app only, never withdrawable

Withdrawing your earnings

To withdraw paid coins you've earned, you need an active Orbit Prime membership at ₹199/month. Without Prime, you can still spend your paid coins in-app but can't cash them out.

Frequently asked questions

Can I withdraw free coins if I earn enough of them?
No, free coins are never withdrawable regardless of how they were earned, including through group membership.
Do I need Orbit Prime just to earn coins from my group?
No, earning happens automatically as people join. Prime is only required when you want to withdraw paid coins.
Does group size affect how much I earn per member?
No, each member pays the plan price you've set regardless of how many other members you have.
