Setting and changing your group's cover image

Uploading a cover image

From your group's settings, open the option to change the cover image and upload a photo from your device. It appears on the group list, the group header, and the public join page for anyone with your invite link.

Choosing a good image

Simple, high-contrast images read better at small sizes than busy photos or dense text. A clear logo, an illustration, or a recognisable photo relevant to your group's topic tends to work best.

• Avoid tiny text — it becomes unreadable in list view
• Use an image that clearly signals the group's topic
• Keep faces or logos centred so they aren't cropped oddly

Changing or removing it later

You can replace the cover image at any time from group settings; the new image takes effect immediately across the app for all members and on the join page.

Is a cover image required?

No, but groups without one show a placeholder, which tends to look less inviting than a custom image.

Can members other than the owner change the cover image?

Only the owner and anyone the owner has given admin permissions to can change group settings, including the cover image.

Does changing the cover image affect group ranking?

No. Ranking is based on activity, member count and recency, not on the group's appearance.
