How to edit or delete a message on Orbit

Editing a message

Open the menu on a text message you sent and choose Edit. Update the text and confirm, and the message updates in place for everyone in the conversation.

Signs a message was edited

An edited message usually carries a small 'edited' label so other members know the content has changed since it was first sent, keeping the conversation transparent.

Deleting a message

Choosing Delete from a message's menu removes it from the conversation for everyone. Deletion cannot be undone, so double-check before confirming, especially for messages other people may have already replied to.

• Deletion is permanent once confirmed
• Replies to a deleted message stay, but show the original as unavailable
• Reactions on a deleted message are removed with it

What you cannot edit

Media messages such as photos, videos and voice notes generally cannot be edited after sending, only deleted and resent if needed.
