Disabling your group's invite link

Sometimes you want to stop new people from joining without changing anything else about the group — disabling the invite link does exactly that.
How to disable it
In your group's settings, find the invite link section and toggle it off. The link becomes inactive immediately, and anyone opening it will see that the group isn't currently accepting new joins.
Why owners disable links
This is useful when a group has reached a size you're comfortable with, when you're dealing with a wave of unwanted joins, or when you want a closed period for existing members only.
Re-enabling access
Toggle the link back on from the same settings screen whenever you're ready to accept new members again. The original link resumes working unless you'd previously regenerated it.

- No, it only stops new people from joining. Current members keep their access as normal.
- Can I still invite specific people while the link is disabled?
- Since joining relies on the link, disabling it blocks all new joins until you turn it back on.
