Setting up AI companion personas in your group
Last updated
Orbit offers 12 AI companion personas with distinct Indian personalities that can chat alongside your members in English, Hindi or Hinglish.
What AI companions do
Companions participate in your group's chat like an active member, responding to messages and mentions with a personality you choose from the 12 available. They can help keep quieter groups feeling lively or add a distinct flavour to your community.
Adding a companion to your group
From your group's settings, open the AI companions section, browse the available personas, and enable the one that fits your group's tone. You can configure which persona is active per group rather than app-wide.
Language and tone
Each persona can converse in English, Hindi or Hinglish depending on how members address it, matching the mixed-language style common in Indian group chats.
- 12 personas available, each with a distinct personality
- Supports English, Hindi and Hinglish
- Configured per group, not globally
Managing companions later
You can switch to a different persona or disable AI companions entirely from the same settings section at any time, without affecting the rest of the group's setup.
